Author & Author’s Responsibilities
The submitted manuscripts are evaluated in two steps: first, the editorial team makes a preliminary evaluation and assess whether the manuscript a. is relevant to the journal’s aims and scope, b. complies with the AJMP’s stylesheet, c. has clearly defined subject matter, research perspective and research material (if applicable). Later, all submitted articles are sent to two or three independent reviewers (double-blind peer review process). The final decision to accept papers positively evaluated in the review process is made by the editor-in-chief.
NO FEE
Academic Journal of Modern Philology does not request any article submission, review, publication and processing charges.
ETHICS
Authors declare by submitting their article to AJMP that they are familiar with the publication ethics adopted by AJMP.
ORCID
Authors are requested to provide their valid Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID) as part of the journal’s efforts to improve transparency and unambiguous attribution of scholarly contributions.
AJMP’s STYLESHEET
Authors who wish to submit their manuscript for publication in AJMP, are obliged to adapt the submitted article to the stylesheet of the journal and make sure the article contains the full list of references.
PROOFREADING
Authors are expected to have their submitted manuscripts carefully checked by a native speaker of the language the paper was written in. The name of the proof-readers will be published on editorial page.
REVIEW
Authors are expected to revise their papers according to the recommendations of the reviewers. If the authors have a different interpretation or perspective, they should provide satisfactory arguments justifying their view in writing. Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or deny publication. Corrected papers ought to be returned within the deadline set by the editors and in consultation with the author.
AI TOOLS
Authors can utilize generative AI and AI-assisted tools to enhance the language, clarity, and readability of their manuscripts, or to assist with specific aspects of the research process. However, these tools must not substitute the authors’ original intellectual contributions, critical judgment, analysis, interpretation, or conclusions. Authors are entirely responsible for ensuring the originality, accuracy, integrity, and reliability of all submitted content, including references and citations. AI tools cannot be credited as authors or co-authors. Any use of generative AI that has materially contributed to the preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed in a separate statement placed before the References. The statement should identify the tool and version used and explain the purpose and extent of its use. The use of AI as part of the research methodology must also be described in sufficient detail in the Methods section. Routine tools for spelling, grammar, formatting, and reference management that do not create substantive content do not need to be disclosed. Generative AI should never be employed to create or alter research data, results, quotations, references, or other academic content. Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-generated material and ensuring its use complies with copyright, confidentiality, data protection, and third-party rights.
AUTHORSHIP DECLARATION
To avoid ghostwriting and guest authorship, the authors of multi-author texts are requested to specify the contribution of each author in the publication. Authors are requested to fill in the statement of originality, authorship and author contribution.
